These terms explain what to expect when you request or receive a service from Knock Knock Notary. Updated October 6, 2026.
Booking your appointment
Choose a calendar time or send an appointment request. If your signing location is undecided, you can leave it blank on the request form; we will confirm the full address with you before approving the visit. Your visit is confirmed after we review the location, service, timing, and quote and send you confirmation. A request or a pending calendar booking does not guarantee a visit. If you cannot find a suitable time, call (510) 301-6733.
Getting ready to sign
Have your complete documents, qualifying identification, and all required signers ready at the agreed location. Leave signatures that require notarization unsigned until your appointment. Signers must appear in person and sign willingly. Tell us in advance about witnesses, access instructions, or facility restrictions. If the requirements for notarization cannot be met, we may need to reschedule or decline the notarization.
Your quote and payment
Published prices are starting rates for the services described. We explain the total quote before confirming, including any agreed travel, printing, or additional service charges. Notarial fees and additional services are itemized in your quote. Payment is due at the appointment unless we agree otherwise in writing.
If your plans change
Call or email as soon as you need to cancel, change the address, or move your appointment. If your booking confirmation includes a cancellation or rescheduling link, you can use that too. Any charge for travel already undertaken must have been disclosed and agreed before confirmation. There is no automatic cancellation penalty or deposit requirement under these terms.
Loan signings and document questions
For real estate appointments, your lender, title company, escrow team, or attorney supplies the documents and answers questions about loan terms or legal effects. We help coordinate the signing and requested document return; completion of a signing does not guarantee loan approval, funding, or recording.
We are not attorneys and do not provide legal advice or prepare legal documents. Ask the document issuer or your attorney which documents and notarial acts you need. The receiving organization decides whether your documents meet its requirements.
